Ciara studied osteopathy in the UK, graduating with a 4 year full time BSc(Hons) Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2003. Since graduating she has worked/ volunteered as an Osteopath in England, Ireland, Eswatini, Sri Lanka, and Canada.
In her career she has focused on treating patients with a gentle holistic approach, allowing her to successfully treat patients of all ages. She has a special interest in treating children, pregnant women, post partum women, and the elderly. Before emigrating to Canada in 2008 she volunteered at the Lanka Osteopathic Centre for Children and the Osteopathic Centre for Children in Manchester.
Ciara focuses on allowing the patient to be in control of their treatment journey and encourages preventative measure. She was certified as a Stott's Pilates instructor in 2008 to further help patients with this.
Since graduating Ciara has always been a member of an association that requires 30 hours of continual professional development yearly. Having returned to Ireland in 2022, She is currently a member of the Osteopathic Council of Ireland.
